Agata Oszmałek

I am a visual artist working in semi-abstract painting at the intersection of Expressionism and Post-Impressionism, inspired by nature and poetry. Exploring the tension between recognisability and abstraction, I create paintings that offer a personal interpretation of reality. What matters most to me are the emotions that words cannot express and the things we keep hidden in the deepest corners of our hearts. These are the intangible, often unspoken experiences that I seek to bring to life.

Agata Oszmałek 1986

Painting is my passion and my life. My artistic practice is rooted in a continuous exploration of colour, form and the expressive potential of paint. Working primarily with acrylics, I create original semi-abstract paintings that balance between the recognisable and the imagined, bringing together a distinctive visual language and a deeply personal perspective.

Nature and poetry are recurring points of departure in my work. Through layered surfaces, expressive gestures and considered colour relationships, I seek to create paintings that reveal new details over time and invite an ongoing dialogue with the viewer.

My practice encompasses individual works and interconnected painting series, each developed as an independent artistic statement within a broader body of work. I see collecting art as more than acquiring an object: it is a way of engaging with an artist’s evolving practice and becoming part of the story surrounding a work.

Through Atelier Snufkina, I offer original paintings to private collectors who value individuality, material presence and a personal connection with art. Each painting is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, preserving its identity and provenance as part of my independent artistic practice.
